Over a year ago New Craft Artists in Action team captain launched MOLTENi Net Works in Boston. Bringing together makers and players in collaborative exchange, the project aims to create functional, hand-crafted basketball nets for neglected public hoops. Dr. James Naismith created the game of basketball in Springfield, MA in 1891. He posed a recycled peach basket as the first hoop. Now nets help break a ball’s fall, give players a sense of depth for good aim, and allow refs to see that a bas …

Collage is such a great medium for creating art, and is fun in group settings! Since there don't seem to be any local meetup groups devoted to collage already, it seems about time to start one. Interested people can bring their favorite bits of paper, some glue, and get together to create masterpieces and check out what other people are pasting together. Gatherings will be at the MIT Stata Center. It's a wonderful, spacious and collage friendly place!

Leave your technical manuals behind - this group is for those interested in photography as an art form. Although we recognize the importance of the craft of photographer we feel that the craft is already very well catered for by a plethora of meetups and camera groups in the New England Region. This group will take a step to the side and cater to those for whom art assumes a far greater weight than craft. We won't be talking about camera settings, lenses, tripods or equipment, we will be discu …
