About The Tucson Crafts 'n Chat Meetup

Welcome to Tucson Crafts 'n Chat Meetup! I started this group with the idea that it is fun to find people who like to do crafts, socialize a bit, and make connections.

My best friends and I have a "project day" where we meet at one of our homes, and work on projects, have a snack or lunch, watch a movie sometimes, but the main thing is... hanging out, chatting about anything, working on a project, and just having a nice time.

So... I decided to expand a little on "project day" and try a Meetup with this in mind.

We meet around Tucson at different libraries, work on our own craft projects, and chat about different things. We are very supportive of each other, non-judgmental, and a good sense of humor is helpful. It is "BYOC" - bring your own craft. I don't supply the craft projects or the supplies. Each person is responsible for their own.

This is not a religious group... or a political group. This is an open-minded, easy going group of people (and I imagine we'll mostly be women) who share some common interests and hobbies.

I crochet, cross stitch, draw, do paper art dolls, artist trading cards, attempt beading, pretend to quilt, paint, make decoupage boxes, some rubber-stamping, and various other things in between. I love to write, but I'm not published. I'm addicted to yarn, paper, Pepsi, Skittles...

We have people beading, crocheting, knitting, working on a latch hook rug, doing quilt applique, and writing down story writing prompts.

What do you like to do? Come share your love of your craft or hobby with us! You don't have to stay for the entire meeting time. Come for as long as you can. If you forget your tote bag, come anyway! Sit and visit.
