Details
Alright east side gals, My dear friend, Kanani has graciously agreed to come and spend an evening with us teaching us about the traditional art of Mehndi or henna tattooing. She will be supplying all the necessary materials and will bring along take home instructions and supplier information for everyone. I want to cover all of Kanani's expenses and her time, so the fee for this meetup is $10 per person and MUST BE PAID through PayPal (or you may send a check-email me for where to send) no later than Friday, 4/18. We will plan on starting at 6pm but get here when you can because we will most likely have to work just a person or 2 at a time and we can go as late as you are willing to stay on a weeknight.
Athough temporary, the design will stay on your skin for 1-4 weeks, so If you don't want or can't have a mehndi on your body, you can bring along an unfinished wood switchplate cover, box, photo frame or candlestick to decorate with the henna.
I will make some pasta and a salad and ice tea for dinner. You may bring snacks, a bottle of wine or anything else you would like to share.

"what a great way to start the week, hanging with girlfriends being crafty!! We absolutely have to make this a regular thing. Thanks to everyone who came, I loved spending my Monday night with you all. And extra special thanks to Kanani for teaching us and helping make all of our hands and feet (and some bellies) so gorgeous!" -

"I thought this was a great way to experiment with body art. I liked the use of natural materials and it was not a messy medium so it made it easy to move around and not worry about getting paint on yourself where you did not want it. :)"
